I welcomed the opportunity to meet with Minister Andrew to discuss the future of a Community Wealth Fund. πŸ’°

A Community Wealth Fund will invest in improving the local environments and quality of life of deprived communities, including through social capital and social infrastructure. Investments such as these would make a significant contribution to delivering the Government's levelling-up objectives in many of our most left-behind communities.

I was delighted to hear that the Minister agrees to the principle of a CWF, as well as suggestions for a bottom-up approach for the allocation of such funds.

I look forward to seeing more progress being made on this over the coming months.
