THE WEEK IN WESTMINSTER
This week I return to Westminster for another action-packed week. We start the week with the remaining stages of the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Bill, before moving to Estimates debates on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Estimate debates focus on departmental spending and are designed to ensure that taxpayers money is spent as efficiently as possible.
On Tuesday, most of my time will be taken by the BEIS Select Committee, which will be the second day of their inquiry into the semiconductor market.
This has profound local significance given that the Sedegfield constituency is a thriving technology hub and punches well above its weight in terms of the number of business operating within the semiconductor market.
No doubt there will be plenty of business opportunities to be had.
Thursday will see me return to a bill committee and attend an adjournment debate before heading north to participate in constituency meetings over the Friday and Saturday.
