Steel provides the foundations on which an economy and a country is built. It is the world’s most recycled material and the second most used material in the world; everything man-made is either made of steel or made with the aid of steel.
It is no surprise then that demand for steel continues to grow including in the UK, supplying this demand from domestic producers would have a direct impact on job creation and economic growth across the UK.
That’s why, I was pleased to meet with representatives of the British Constructional Steelwork Association, to hear about their extensive investments, apprenticeships in the steel industry, & their ongoing support of local communities.
