Yesterday I met with the Health Secretary to impress upon him the urgent need for a review into the North East Ambulance Service. 
I am pleased to announce that the Health Secretary has since confirmed that NHS England will now conduct a full independent review into the Service. 
This review will allow us to understand the failings of the past, in order to prevent more tragedies in the future.
