University is not the right path for everyone and I am keen that as a society we work towards holding apprenticeships in the same high regard as academic degrees.
Apprenticeships, therefore, are not just a great way of earning and learning at the same time, but can help businesses fill vacancies and help communities build valuable skills for the future.

What does investment in the next generation look like? To me, it’s a commitment by local businesses to employ more apprentices like Marcus and Katie every year.
