URGENT ACTION ON RURAL CRIME
This week marked a significant step forward as we convened with the Home Secretary for a Rural Crime Roundtable.
The gravity of our discussions couldn't be more profound, as we confront the multifaceted challenges plaguing our rural communities. From agricultural theft to vandalism, and the pressing need to crackdown on antisocial behavior, the issues are urgent and demand immediate attention.
As your MP, I am acutely aware of the profound impact these crimes have on the fabric of our communities. They not only undermine the livelihoods of hardworking farmers and small businesses but also erode the sense of safety and security that should be inherent in rural life.
But the meeting wasn’t just about highlighting the problems; it's about forging a path forward. It's about leveraging our collective expertise, resources, and determination to implement effective strategies that will safeguard our countryside and restore peace of mind to our communities.
Together, with the Home Secretary and other stakeholders, I am committed to leaving no stone unturned in our pursuit of justice and safety for everyone in the constituency.
