Sedgefield MP meets with Japanese Ambassador to encourage further regional investment

Excellent to attend Hitachi parliamentary reception last week and I was honoured to meet H.E. Mr. HAYASHI Hajime, Ambassador of Japan to the UK. 🇯🇵 🇬🇧 

We had a fruitful discussion on how to strengthen the UK-Japan business relations and how Hitachi is leading the way in digital innovation and investment in the UK. 📈

I was also impressed by Jim Brewin’s presentation on Hitachi Rail’s successful trial of digital and A.I. infrastructure monitoring technology, which aims to enhance safety and reliability for the East Coast Mainline passengers.  🚃
