It was an honour to attend the Presentation of Addresses to the new Monarch, His Majesty King Charles III.
His Majesty King Charles III and The Queen Consort attended Parliament this morning to receive and respond to Addresses from both Houses of Parliament.
This was the first time His Majesty The King has addressed Parliament.
King Charles III pledged to follow Queen Elizabeth II's example of selfless duty as he delivered the address in Westminster Hall.
The King praised Parliament as the "living and breathing instrument of our democracy" after Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the Commons Speaker, and Lord McFall, the Lord Speaker, had both presented him with addresses of condolence.
