Positive news!
I’m delighted to see record numbers of people in work as we’re delivering on our plan to halve inflation this year. 
We must be very careful and not do anything that risks permanently embedding high prices into our economy as this will only prolong the economic pain for everyone. 
Inflation is the enemy of working people. Therefore, the single best way to help people’s wages go further is to stick to our proven plan— it’s working.
