As part of my role as Co-chair of ‘Left-behind’ neighbourhoods APPG, today I sent a letter to the Prime Minister, on behalf of a number of my Conservative colleagues, calling on the Govt to include social infrastructure investment as part of a broader infrastructure drive, as we look to kickstart our economy, post-COVID.
By social infrastructure, we mean physical spaces for people to meet, community organisations providing services/bringing people together, and digital connectivity - connecting people beyond physical boundaries.
We are all looking forward to working closely with the Prime Minister on his levelling up agenda and ensuring that the UK can rebuild and prosper once we're through the current pandemic.
