I welcomed the opportunity to meet with the Minister to discuss my constituents’ concerns regarding the development of solar farms.
While solar energy is a clean, renewable source that reduces carbon emissions and lessens our reliance on fossil fuels. It's imperative that these developments are carried out responsibly, with proper consideration for environmental impact and landscape preservation.
By implementing measures to mitigate any potential harm to the countryside, such as integrating solar panels into brownfield sites, we can harness the benefits of solar energy while protecting our natural landscapes.
I welcome the Ministers assurances and I look forward to the upcoming Westminster Hall debate on this subject.
