Paul Howell MP recently visited Durham Sixth Form Centre to engage with students about the role of an MP and the importance of civic engagement.
During his visit, Paul gave a presentation to students about their work in Parliament, highlighting the key responsibilities of an MP such as representing constituents, scrutinising legislation, and debating government policy. They also discussed the importance of young people getting involved in politics and making their voices heard.
Following the presentation, Paul took questions from students on a wide range of topics, including the cost of living crisis, climate change, and the war in Ukraine. They encouraged students to stay informed about current affairs and to engage with the political process.
