Paul Howell MP Joins In UK Parliament Week
UK Parliament Week (UKPW) is an annual event, spreading the word about what Parliament is, what it does and how you can get involved. It’s a great way to find out new things about UK Parliament or be reminded of things you might’ve forgotten! Taking place from 6th until 12th November, there are more than 11,000 events planned across the country, as well as in the Crown Dependencies and the British Overseas Territories.
To help you get informed about UK Parliament, you can find resources here - take action and make an impact on the issues you care about. Last year over 1.1 million people took part in every nation and region of the UK, and countries all over the world. Participants can use their free UK Parliament Week resource kits to host events and young people will be encouraged to play a Parliamentary-themed board game, The Ayes Have It, included in the packs.
With over 10,000 activities last year, UK Parliament Week was celebrated in all sorts of ways including:
- lively debates and quizzes
- discussing issues and holding votes
- creating petitions
- themed assemblies and school council elections
- baking, crafting and colouring
- meeting your MP, a member of the Lords, local councillors, mayors, MLAs, MSs or MSPs – either in person or virtually

You can find out how you can make a difference on an issue that matters to you – and a chance to find out more about our rich history.
If you want to make things happen and for change to take place – you have to be a part of it! So why not start now and use UK Parliament Week to see what it would be like to be an MP for a week and launch your new political career!"
