The Department for International Trade (DIT) announces International Trade Week which is taking place from 6th -10th November. Aiming to encourage UK businesses to export and sell to the world, and showcase the long-term support that is available to help them do so.
It will include business and sector led activities, showcasing events and workshops available to businesses of all sizes, all sectors and across the UK hosted by expert trade advisors, Parliamentarians and Ministers.
The Government's ambition is to reach £1 trillion in exports annually — projections suggest we will achieve this by the mid-2030s. We can get there sooner if we all work together.
Whether businesses are currently selling internationally but could expand to new markets, or they have never exported, the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) offers a range of free support. Last year, thousands of businesses took part from around the UK and International Trade Week 2023 is set to be the biggest yet. Exporting is crucial for businesses and to the government’s plans to level up and build back better, and this week of events is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to get involved, share advice and learn from the experts.
