I was delighted to welcome Glenys Newby to Downing Street yesterday for a Community Safety Event. Glenys, a tireless advocate for the Ferryhill community, had the opportunity to speak with Security Minister Tom Tugendhat about the inspiring work being done by young people in the area. 
During their conversation, Glenys highlighted the positive contributions that young people in Ferryhill are making to their community. She spoke of their involvement in a number of initiatives, including crime prevention schemes, community outreach programs, and environmental projects. 
Glenys's visit to Downing Street was a valuable opportunity to showcase the positive work being done by young people in Ferryhill. It hope that her visit will inspire others to get involved in their communities and make a difference.
