This morning I had the pleasure of joining my colleagues from the Northern Research Group for a meeting with the Prime Minister to discuss plans to boost economic growth in the north. 
Make no mistake, Rishi remains a staunch champion of the north and I am delighted he has renewed his commitment to levelling up. 
With a Rishi in No.10, we have a northern champion at the heart of government— I look forward to working closely with him.
