Newton Aycliffe Youth FC
It was a pleasure to meet with Newton Aycliffe Youth FC at Woodham Academy during one of their Thursday training sessions.
I was introduced to the coaches and the players, and chatted to some of the parents. Club Secretary, Berni Borsberry, was also on hand to answer questions and give information about the fantastic club.
He explained the new 3* accreditation awarded by the England FA to NAYFC as well as plans going forward to develop a disability offering with the help of Durham FA.
It was also great to hear about the recent growth in girls’ football and the impressive 10 female teams competing in leagues every week.
I look forward to seeing them again in the near future— good luck team!
