I joined researchers from The Institute of Cancer Research, London, and showed my support for their ambitious new strategy which aims to transform the lives of people with cancer by finding brand new lines of attack against the disease.
I met with scientists from The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) at a reception in Westminster this week where I heard about the ICR’s new joint research strategy with The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
The new strategy centres on the concept that cancer is supported by complex ecosystems within the body which can be disrupted by cutting-edge new treatments and cures.
