It was an absolute privilege to welcome local farmer, David Hewitson from Hauxley Farm, to Parliament today. 
We discussed a range of issues affecting the farming sector from planning regulations, avian flu, energy support and labour supply. 
I assured David, as I have with many other farmers in Sedgefield, I am committed to doing everything I can to nurture the business conditions needed for farming communities to flourish.
